Since I was young, I have followed the stories of world epidemics. Never inclined to study medicine or biology, I nonetheless had a lively interest in why certain diseases get a foothold among urban populations. I am also very interested in the influence of epidemics on literature throughout the ages.
I hope that this blog will serve to bring to the forefront issues that are important to our city and to urban life in general.
